discretionary spending

I just read on DeBarypop that our council is considering giving themselves access to $1,000-2,500 for "discretionary spending".
That amount of money for each member isn't chump change folks.

Funny, I watch all the city council meetings and don't recall hearing anything about this. Wonder if it will be an agenda item at the next meeting or will it be covered under the consent agenda.

Funny thing, the meeting agenda is on debary.org for this weeks meeting, no mention of 1,000 to 2,500 for each councilman.

Norm is also complaining about the land use rules and says they need to be changed. He had three years to get things changed, well not much was done, now he complaining that nothing is done. Right back to where he was four years ago with the complaining.
