Mark, first of all, thanks for your dedication to keeping this site available and wide open for all to comment or debate issues. The immature attitudes and actions of other parties and other websites will never stop as the people running them are only interested in creating a negative atmosphere surrounding everybody that might question their ideas or beliefs with a different point of view. The name calling and derogatory statements made by a couple people lately prove this without a doubt.
The city council in the past has made several bad decisions in my mind, and I am sure some people think they have all been great. Whether it was the horse track, approval of the school site, or new development on Ft. Florida rd., we all have different views and objectives we think our city take. With the rail coming, ( as long as our new bald governer doesn't kill it somehow) we should accept it and come up with the best ways to profit and grow with it. Continued fighting and arguements are counter-productive.
I for one have never been one to attend the council meetings on a regular basis, and will make making an effort to attend a bit more often to keep a little closer track of the city business.
